Peace with God

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. [Romans 5:1 NIV]

Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. [Micah 7:18,19 NIV]

Our guilt has separated us from a holy God, but He didn’t give up on us. God gave his only Son as a sign of his love. In doing so, He paid the price for our sin and now we can be completely free. The gap between our heart and God’s heart has been bridged by the cross of Christ. This cross is the only way back to the Father. I have accepted this sacrifice and because of that I am surrounded by God’s grace and sheltered by his love.

And you know what? All of this can be yours. Confess your sins to God in prayer, accept the sacrifice of God’s Son and ask Jesus to come into your heart as your Lord and Saviour. Why wait any longer?

If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [Romans 8:31-35]

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ. [1 Timothy 2:5 NIV]

For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. [1 Peter 3:18 NIV]

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. [Romans 5:8 NIV]

God has provided the only way. Each person must make a choice.

If you have followed my example (pray to God, ask Him to forgive your sins, accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour) - I strongly advise you to share this with other Christians. It is hard to be on your own and stay faithful to God. For normal human beings like you and I it is impossible to live a holy life in this world. You need the support of other believers to stay strong in the faith and you need to develop a personal relationship with Jesus. This takes time and you do need your brothers and sisters to give you some guidance. And hey... it is great to be a member of the world-wide family of God!! Feel free to drop me a line - I am always willing to pray for you. Blessings!

Hi Patricia!
Thank you for your friendly comment. By te way, your English is much better than my Spanish! I trust we will all speak the same language in Heaven... In the meantime we can use our mother tongue to share the Good News of Jesus and shine our little light in every corner of the world and cyberspace! Feel free to come back and leave your comments - I think it is great to "meet" other Christians through the Internet. May God bless you and the ones you love, Paul
